Beckner will return for senior season at Mizzou
One of Missouri's top defensive linemen will return for his senior season.
Terry Beckner, Jr. said Friday that he will bypass the 2018 NFL Draft and play for the Tigers next year.
"We're very excited to know that Terry will be with us for another year," said Head Coach Barry Odom in a statement. "Everyone knows that he's a high-impact player, but even more so, he's an incredible leader for this program and is an outstanding representative of Mizzou. He certainly did have an opportunity to move on, but he and his family weighed all of the factors and we're grateful for the faith they have in us as a coaching staff to help him become the best he can be. It's also very important to Terry and his family that he earns his degree, and he's on pace to do that. We've got something special going at Mizzou, and he's a big part of it."
Beckner leads the Tigers with 10.5 tackles for loss this season. He's tied with Marcell Frazier for the team lead with seven sacks.
