Anderson headed to Pittsburg State

After a rough three-year stint at Missouri, Kim Anderson will return to Divison 2 basketball.

Pittsburg State announced Anderson as its new head coach on Friday. The school will formally introduce him Monday morning.

The 61-year-old Anderson went just 27-68 (.284) as the head coach at his alma mater. Missouri posted an 8-46 record in SEC play during his tenure.

Anderson enjoyed a successful 12-year run at Central Missouri prior to coming to Mizzou. The Mules went 274-95 (.743) and won the 2014 national championship.
