      Where to watch: July 4th firework celebrations in mid-Missouri

      As the Fourth of July celebrations get underway, a number of displays can be seen across the state on Friday night.

      Here's a few in your area for Friday, July 4th:

      Jefferson City's Salute to America continues with a street fair, a performance by Bennie and the Jets, along with fireworks at the State Capitol. Those are scheduled for a 9 p.m. start time.

      In Columbia.... you can check out the the annual Fire in the Sky.The activities start at 6:30 p.m. at Flat Branch Park and Peace Park.Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. and will be shot from the Sixth and Cherry parking garage.

      Rocheport will put on a display at the Bluff at Les Bourgeois Vineyards starting at 5:00 p.m., with the fireworks scheduled to kick off at dusk.

      Osage Beach's Tan-Tar-A resort will allow viewers to watch from the water at the 26 mile marker. Those are scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m.

      The Lodge of Four Seasons' celebration starts at 6:00 p.m. with fireworks beginning after 8:00 p.m. in Lake Ozark. Those fireworks can be seen at the 13 mile marker.

      Versailles will host their 4th of July Celebration at Versailles City Park with fireworks at dusk Friday night.

      The City of Eldon will kick off their celebration downtown and at the Eldon Air Park starting with a 5k run beginning at 7 a.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk from the park.

      Moberly will host fireworks at Rothwell Park around 9:15 p.m.

      And if you'd like to attend a parade...

      The Old Fashioned Fourth of July will be hosted by Sedalia with a parade beginning at 10:00 a.m. and activities starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Fair Grandstand.

      Ashland will also hold a parade at 9 a.m. Friday morning, while Arrow Rock will kick off their procession at 2 p.m.
