Members of a Columbia non-profit organization are holding a warehouse sale this weekend to help pay for a new headquarters.
CoMo Cares administrators will use money from their fundraiser to help pay the rent for a permanent location for their organization.
Como Cares provides clothes, diapers and other childrenâ??s supplies which government programs do not cover.
Sale items include clothing, furniture and toys.
The warehouse sale on Paris Road near the Business Loop 70 bridge will help parents provide for children living in poverty.
Executive Director Sabrina Lambrecht said, â??We do not have a physical building. The warehouse was our physical building and we are looking for a future building. Hopefully, weâ??re hoping to be up and running by around the first of next year.â??
Lambrecht said 1 in 5 Missouri children fall below the poverty line.
The warehouse sale runs through Sunday at 1730 Paris Road.
