College students are moving out and moving into Columbia apartment buildings and other rental properties.

Some of the trash is blocking sidewalks.
Some neighbors are upset over the wastefulness.
Columbia resident Dillon Crane said, â??Itâ??s a bit of a pain. As quick as it gets out, it goes, too.â??
Some dumpster divers are going to student neighborhoods and bringing home some of the curbside used furniture.
A city ordinance requires people to make arrangements for a special pick-up of some large trash items.
Violators can be fined $50.
