Members of the newest rugby team to hit Mid-Missouri volunteered their time for a good cause.
The Columbia Outlaws packaged frozen pizzas at the Food Bank for Northeast and Central Missouri.
The menâ??s and womenâ??s teams spent 3 hours at the food bankâ??s warehouse.
The rugby players said helping the hungry is one of the best ways to support their community.
Team Captain Dan Mathew said, â??Itâ??s a great feeling. Playing the sport that we play, itâ??s fun. Itâ??s even more fun for us and a better feeling to come out here and give back.â??
The Columbia Outlaws will start their new season on March 1 at Columbiaâ??s Rock Quarry Park on Grindstone Parkway.
