Some people are still without power in Columbia because of Mondayâ??s storms.
Columbia Water & Light officials said theyâ??ve restored power to everyone except several hundred customers during the past 3 days.
Most of them are in neighborhoods between Stadium Boulevard and Broadway in the central part of town.
Linemen are working 16 hour shifts to repair downed power lines.
They had to maneuver around 6 feet high piles of debris in some locations.
Columbia Water & Light spokeswoman Connie Kacprowicz said, â??Guys are climbing up and over it just to get to the area that they need to make improvements. We appreciate everyoneâ??s patience. Weâ??re hopeful to have most of the customers restored tomorrow, with maybe some additional work tomorrow.â??
Linemen expect they will restore power to virtually everyone in Columbia by tomorrow night.
The only exceptions will be those that need electricians to fix problems at their homes.
