University of Missouri Police investigators continue to make changes on the way they keep people aware of potential dangers on the Mizzou campus.
They want to improve their Clery Releases which are campus wide e-mails of possible threats.
The Clery Act is a federal law that makes colleges and universities inform their communities about campus crime statistics.
Congress is constantly changing law.
The MUPD recently sent out a Clery Release involving a sexual assault where the victim did not want police involvement.
Investigators said changes in the Clery Act cover a wide variety of topics.
Captain Scott Richardson said, ??Some of the changes have to do with policies that take place. We know we have prevention efforts for sexual assaults. We know we have prevention efforts for liquor laws, drugs and other crimes that occur on campus.??
Richardson plans to make a presentation to Mizzou staff and students on the most recent Clery Act changes tomorrow.
