Columbia School Board members approved their final boundary changes to help with overcrowding problems at Mill Creek Elementary School during a special meeting this morning.
The new boundaries will reduce Mill Creekâ??s enrollment by about 100 students next year.
Some parents told school board members the boundary changes are not fair because some Mill Creek students will have to adjust to a new school.
About 50 will transfer to Paxton-Keeley.
About 30 students will go to Grant and another 20 will transfer to Russell Boulevard Elementary School.
Board members hope to permanently fix their overcrowding problem when they open a new elementary school in south Columbia in 2016.
