Man arrested in connection to 6 bank robberies

Police arrested a Fulton man Thursday in connection to six bank robberies.
John David Farnell, 58, was arrested after a highway patrol trooper spotted his white Dodge Grand Caravan, which was identified at the scene of the First Community National Bank of Cuba, Mo. robbery. The trooper found a loaded handgun and money believed to be from First Community National Bank.
Farnell told First Community National Bank employees he was armed and fled the scene around 10:35 a.m. Farnell TMs description and vehicle description matched that of five previous bank robberies in Moberly, Sedalia, Rolla, Chillicothe and El Dorado Springs.
About an hour after Farnell robbed the bank he was stopped by Highway Patrol.
Farnell is being held in Crawford County Jail as the robberies are being investigated by the Rolla Police Department, Missouri Highway Patrol, FBI, Cuba Police Department and Crawford County Sheriff TMs Department.
