      Man arrested after shots fired near Petro Mart

      Police chased the suspects and took Corrice M. James, 28, into custody.

      Police said people in separate vehicles fired 2 to 3 shots at each other early this morning near a Columbia gas station.

      The incident happened shortly before 2 a.m. when the suspects had an argument at the Petro Mart parking lot on the corner of College Avenue and Paris Road.

      Police searched for several black males driving in a car.

      They found the suspect??s car in the 1600 block of Towne Drive and that??s when the suspects ran from the vehicle.

      Police chased the suspects and took Corrice M. James, 28, into custody.

      Officers arrested James for resisting arrest.

      Investigators do not know if James was involved with the shots fired incident.
