A group of health officials want to make sure that all Missourians have coverage when the Affordable Health Care Act takes effect.
The Missouri Foundation for Health and 89 other organizations launched a new statewide campaign called â??Cover Missouri, Ready, Set, Enrollâ??.
Hundreds of coalition members gathered at Columbiaâ??s Holiday Inn Executive Center for a hands-on summit.
Participants learned more about Missouriâ??s uninsured population and practiced better ways of communicating information about the upcoming changes in healthcare.
Missouri Foundation for Health spokesman Ryan Barker said, â??Itâ??s a kick-off to education the organizations that work with these Missourians so that they have the tools and the resources they need to educate and provide information to people across our state.â??
Coalition members want to reduce the rate of uninsured Missourians to less than 5% during the next 5 years.
