Fulton kicks off season with holiday open house

Fulton's holiday open house drew dozens to see decorated storefronts and meet Santa Claus.

The holiday season has begun in the Fulton Brick District.

Garland, wreaths, and white lights line the streets as the town kicked off it's holiday open house Friday night.

Stores in the brick district festively decorated their front-facing windows for the Christmas season for viewing.

Well Read Books owner Brian Warren said it took 12 hours for his staff to create the book paper chain-link garland decorations in the windows.

"We do change the window up every year. We spend a lot of time decorating it and thinking what can we do that hasn't been done or at least hasn't been done around here," said Warren.

Most of the stores are offering special sales and discounts through the rest of the open house, which concludes at the end of each store's business day Saturday.

Warren said the open house is one of the busiest and most successful nights for the store.

Santa Claus himself showed up downtown, and carriages clopped along the brick streets for the community to enjoy.
