      Football Tiger fans predict success

Ron White made the trip from Owensville to meet a group of his friends for football and tailgating.

Thousands of Mizzou Football Tiger Fans spent a beautiful spring afternoon at this yearâ??s Annual Black and Gold Game.

Itâ??s been 141 days since the Tigers last stepped on Faurot Field in front of the fans for a game.

Ron White made the trip from Owensville to meet a group of his friends for football and tailgating.

The practice game gave Tiger Fans a chance to check out the team before the real competition begins later this summer.

Tiger Fan Ron White said, â??Iâ??m optimistic. I know that we lost a lot of good players. We have a lot of back up players that are going to probably step up this year. If we can keep people healthy, i think we will have a good season.â??

Tiger Fan Sam Bennett said, â??Iâ??m optimistic as always. Iâ??d like to see us win about 8 games this year. Hopefully, losing our wide receiver wonâ??t hurt us too bad.â??

Fans had a choice of spending $3 on a ticket for the game or donating 3 canned food items to the Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri.

Food bank officials collected more than 6,500 pounds of food during the gameâ??s food drive.
