A special task force is trying to get more activities at the Boone County Fairgrounds.
Former Governor Roger Wilson is leading the group that wants to book more events at the Central Missouri Events Center.
The center has been losing money for years because it sits empty on many weekends.
Task force members said they need to make a better effort of attracting sporting events.
They want your input at a series of public forums.
Three meetings are scheduled for Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Ashland Optimist Club, the Hallsville Intermediate School and Midway Heights Elementary School.
A meeting will also be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28 at the Boone County Government Center.
