Au Revoir 2010!

Oh, the Holidays are over. Well, they've actually been over for awhile. But it's all kind of been a whirlwind and we're just now taking down our Christmas decorations; so it feels like it's officially time to say au revoir to 2010 and bonjour to 2011!
Our first Christmas together as a married couple was a wonderful one! Busy as all get out, but wonderful. We did 7 "Christmases" in two days. Three celebrations on Christmas Eve, and Four Christmas Day. I think that's a movie...
Anyway, it was a busy few days; but a fantastic holiday. Almost as fantastic as the week that followed! In celebration of my mom's 60th (hope she doesn't get mad at me for saying the number) birthday; my family and I headed south of the border for a week in the tropics! We went to Cancun, Mexico for a short week. It was beautiful! The beach was pretty, as usual for Mexico, and the weather was even better! We had temperatures in the low 80's every day! It was so nice to soak up some sun and not worry about heavy coats and gloves. And of course, as soon as we get back to Missouri, what are we greeted with the very next day? Snow. We should have known.
One small issue on our trip... Our luggage got lost! Just when I thought I found my new favorite airline (whose company name will remain anonymous) because our flights were actually on time. And then we get back to St. Louis (on time), but sans luggage. Not good when you have to host a Bridal Fashion show the next day. But, with a little help from Walgreens; my hair and makeup didn't go too unkempt for the next few days while I waited for my luggage to be shipped. I didn't think I'd ever be so happy to see a suitcase before in my life. The lesson I learned from this, keep your glasses in your carry-on! Because putting on contacts at 2:30 in the morning isn't too much fun. I like to wait until the last possible moment before the show...
I'm really looking forward to 2011! Here's to wishing all the KRCG News at Sunrise viewers a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year! And feel free to email me with any comments and story ideas at email@example.com.
