2 day manhunt leads to arrest

Moberly Police arrested a Louisiana man after a two day manhunt near Macon, Mo.

Christopher George Holcomb, 30, of Lafayette, La., was wanted for a parole violation from Louisiana and drug charges from Georgia.

Moberly Police were told by the Missouri Highway Patrol that Holcomb was spotted in the area Monday. After six hours of searching, the manhunt was called off because of severe weather conditions.

Police continued the search Tuesday morning north of Cairo, Mo. A Moberly K-9 Unit found Holcomb around 2:15 p.m. hiding in a brush pile.

Holcomb was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Randolph County.
