A small fire at a Columbia Bank of America this morning required the building to be evacuated.
The Columbia Fire Department was called at about 11:00 a.m. to the 800 Cherry Street address.
Firefighters found the fire on the second floor of the building in an air handling unit.
They were able to quickly extinguish the fire and clear the smoke with large fans.
Bank of America employees were able to return to work within an hour.
There were no injuries and no reports as to what may have caused the fire.
