Two people were killed after a crash in Columbia early Tuesday morning.

Two people were killed after a crash in Columbia early Tuesday morning.

Columbia Police said just after midnight Chasity Vaughan, 35, was driving her Nissan Pathfinder south in the northbound lanes on Highway 63 just north of Vandiver Drive.

A minivan, John Brenneman, 38, was driving north in the northbound lanes on the highway and hit the SUV head-on.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Columbia Police said it's unclear if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.

Police also said excessive speed did not play a role.
