An investigation is ongoing to find how a woman slammed her car into a gas station Wednesday afternoon.
The Cole County gas station owner had been planning a grand re-opening for Thursday, but those plans have changed after a car hit the side of the building.
The owner of the Gulf Station on Route C near the intersection of 179 says a woman hit the building after breaking through two protective barriers.
A witness says mailboxes near the gas station were also knocked down.
A worker inside the building was taken to the hospital.
The driver was not injured.
The owner is assessing structural damage to the building.
