Woman pronounced dead in Boone County crash identified

The Missouri Highway Patrol said a 21-year-old woman was killed in T-bone accident at Highway 124 and U.S. Highway 63 in Boone County about 7:30 a.m. Friday.

The Patrol identified her as Kimberly Schumann of Jacksonville, Mo.

Schumann was traveling in the southbound lanes of Highway 63 in her 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix when she swerved to avoid a van. Her vehicle entered the northbound lane and was T-boned by another vehicle, a 2002 Chevrolet Impala, according to MSHP.

The Patrol also said driver and passenger of the Impala, 22-year-old Leah Ensor of Holliday, Mo., and 23-year-old Jonathan Sauceda, of Columbia, Mo., had moderate injuries from the accident.

Emergency crews closed one lane of traffic in the northbound lanes for several hours.
