Thu, 10 Oct 2013 12:52:16 GMT — A Centralia woman was taken to the Boone County jail after trying to forcefully steal her husband's medication. Brenda West, 57, was arrested early Thursday morning at her home on East Railroad Street after police said she tried to take her husband's Klonopin, a controlled medication typically used for seizures or panic disorders. When her husband wouldn't give her the medication, West grabbed a five-pound ceramic figurine and hit him on the hand with it, cutting him. She then hit him on the side of his head.Next, West grabbed a glass and hit her husband again on the head.Her husband suffered a cut to his hand.West was arrested for second-degree robbery and possession of a controlled substance.
