Woman admits to mailing drugs to the Callaway County Jail

Wed, 28 Aug 2013 13:53:25 GMT — A Holts Summit woman was arrested after trying to deliver meth to an inmate in the Callaway County Jail.On Monday, an employee at the jail was examining an envelope mailed to a current inmate, Justin Bruce. Staff found methamphetamine under the envelope flap.Bruce admitted to Callaway County Sheriff's deputies that he asked Mary Jo Van Zandt to send the meth to him in jail.Bruce said he was going to use some of the meth, but also sell and trade it to other inmates. Van Zandt admitted to sending the letter with the controlled substance inside. She also said she sent Bruce meth the same way, in an envelope, in June and never got caught.
