Wanted Illinois man arrested by Boone Co. deputies

      An Illinois man wanted by numerous law enforcement agencies was arrested Wednesday evening by Boone County sheriffâ??s deputies while driving a vehicle reported stolen from Iowa City, Iowa.

      Gordon Caldwell, 45, of Madison, Ill., was taken into custody at the Highway 63 connector shortly before 7 p.m. driving a silver 2012 Ford Explorer. Deputies were alerted to the stolen vehicle, which was traveling west on I-70 near the Lake of the Woods exit, by the Automated License Plate Reader utilized by the sheriffâ??s department.

      Caldwell is being held in the Boone County Jail on $113,000 bond. He had outstanding warrants from St. Charles and Jefferson counties as well as several jurisdictions in the Illinois Metro East area of St. Louis.

      A female traveling with Caldwell was also taken into custody. 47-year-old Rosalind Grant-Stennis of East St. Louis, Ill., was released after posting a $500 bond on suspicion of tampering.
