      Original story:

Two men face charges after an armed robbery in Columbia early Saturday morning.

Columbia Police officers were called to 2500 Old Highway 63 South, apartment 1123, just after 4 a.m.

The 20-year-old victim said she was in her room with a male friend when another male, armed with a handgun, walked into the room about 3:30.

The armed suspect demanded property and then left with just the victim's cell phone.

The victim's friend, identified as 20-year-old Jared Hemme, told the victim he was going after the suspect and did not return.

Hemme was arrested at the Columbia Police Department at 8 a.m. for first-degree robbery.

The armed man, 19-year-old Leonard Neves, was arrested at his home on Antelope Drive around 3 p.m. for first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

Investigators found the stolen cell phone at Neves' home.

The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
