Update: Police arrest robbery suspect after standoff

      Update: Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 5:17 a.m.

      Columbia Police have taken a robbery suspect into custody after a stand off last night at his home.

      Police arrested Michael Robinson, who is accused of helping to set up a robbery on Mexico Gravel Road in late July.

      Robinson was taken in without incident around 10:30 Tuesday night and transferred to Boone County Jail.

      His bond set at $100,000.

      Another man involved in the robbery is Harlequin Harris, who is still on the run.

      Harris TM warrant carries a $75,000.00 bond and is for First Degree Robbery and Armed Criminal Action.

      Columbia Police Street Crimes Unit is at Brown Station Road and Leeway in northern Columbia looking for a suspect.

      Police are outside of a residence where a wanted robbery suspect is hiding out.

      Officials said that the suspect has a high bond amount.

      Police on the scene are waiting for a commander to decide the next step.
