Update: Murder suspect from New Orleans arrested in Moberly

Update: Thursday, November 10th at 4:22 p.m.:

United States Marshals and Moberly Police arrested a man wanted for the death of a New Orleans doctor.

Federal investigators captured Bobby Troy, 20, in a Moberly apartment building about 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Troy surrendered without incident.

Federal Marshals contacted Moberly Police after someone living in Moberly TMs College Town Apartments recognized Troy from a photo they saw on the news. Troy was visiting a relative in apartment 5. Troy was wanted in connection with the death of New Orleans optometrist Brent Hachfeld, 37.

Moberly Police Commander Kevin Palmatory said, He was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals, processed here at the Moberly Police Department and then transferred to the Randolph County Justice Center.

College Town Apartments Manager Rob Belcher said the arrest of Bobby Troy has put other tenants in his complex on alert.

Belcher said, This was not a tenant that lived here that was involved with this. It was a visitor of a tenant. Just kind of keep a close watch on who you let in your house. Make sure you know that person. I will definitely be keeping a closer watch on what TMs going on around other people TMs apartments out here.

Belcher says the tenant in apartment 5 was not aware that Troy was a wanted man. Troy TMs bond was set at $25,000.

Troy was last seen on surveillance video getting on a Greyhound bus to Columbia.

Update: Thursday, November 10th at 9:35 a.m.: Columbia Police said murder suspect Bobby Troy was arrested in Moberly, Missouri sometime Wednesday. Update: Thursday, November 10th at 9:05 a.m.:

New Orleans police say the man they believe is responsible for the death of a Slidell, Louisiana optometrist last month in the French Quarter has been arrested in Missouri.

Police say 20-year-old Bobby Troy was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals early Thursday.

The Times-Picayune reports surveillance video from the Greyhound bus station at Union Passenger Terminal appears to show Troy boarding a bus Sunday headed for Columbia, Missouri.

Police have accused Troy of attacking and robbing 37-year-old Brent Hachfeld.

The coroner's office says Hachfeld died of trauma to the head.

Update: 9:00pm Wednesday:

Police in New Orleans now say murder suspect Bobby Troy was seen on surveillance video boarding a Greyhound bus Sunday bound for Columbia, MO. He may have relatives in Missouri.

Troy has previously been arrested in Louisiana for battery, disturbing the peace, property damage and juvenile offenses. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 186 pounds. If you see him, call 9-1-1.

Columbia Police are awaiting official word from New Orleans Police that a New Orleans murder suspect may be in Columbia.New Orleans media outlets are reporting that Bobby Troy may be in the Columbia area. Troy is accused of killing Brent Hachfeld, a Slidell, La. optometrist in October.The 20-year-old student was linked to the crime scene by DNA evidence and surveillance video.
