More details are emerging about the Carthage father in jail, now suspected in the death of his eight-month old son.Seven years ago, Eddie Salazar Sr., 29, was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of second-degree robbery.Now he is in jail again, this time accused of filing a false police report.Jasper county authorities are holding him on $100,000 bond.Thursday, Salazar told police two masked intruders broke into his home, beat him unconscious, and took his infant son, Eddie Salazar Jr.Police issued an Amber Alert and had officers combing the neighborhood and near by woods in an effort to find the baby.Jasper County Sheriff Archie Dunn says searchers found the child's body near a creek Saturday afternoon."We had people from the water patrol who got in a watercraft and we'd been, they'd been out earlier they ventured a little farther out this time and found the body, said Junn.The baby's body has been sent away for an autopsy.
It's no longer a case of kidnapping in Carthage as the search for a baby boy comes to an end and his father is a suspect in his death.

The-eight-month old had been missing for two days.
Salazar Sr. filed a police report saying two men wearing ski masks had ransacked his home, beaten him unconscious and taken his son. The report led to an amber alert late Thursday.
KRCG News has learned that the father was previously charged with second degree robbery in 2001 and pled guilty in 2003.
He is in jail on a $100,000 bond.
