Camden County Sheriff's officials are confirming that a woman who wandered into the woods Sunday evening has been found alive.
Chief Deputy Darrell Walden said he believes Kathleen Rogers, 53, of rural Camden County, was found by a neighboring landowner. However, he said his knowledge of the circumstances surrounding her discovery is limited.
Walden said the Sheriff's Department will issue more information soon.
The search for a Camden County woman who went missing after wandering into the woods near her home has been called off.
53-year-old Kathleen Rogers is a diabetic, and had not taken her medicine in several days at the time she walked into the woods at about 8:00 Sunday evening, according to law enforcement authorities.
Officers from several agencies conducted an intense search for Rogers in the vicinity of her home, using search and rescue teams, including dogs and a highway patrol helicopter. The search yeilded no results, and the search was called off at 5:00 Monday evening, according to Chief Deputy Darrell Walden of the Camden County Sheriff's Department.
Walden says the search will resume if any new information comes to light. Anyone with information is asked to call the Camden County Sheriff's Department.
