Fri, 23 May 2014 12:41:59 GMT — Memorial Day weekend is upon us and while many will spend time outside over the next few days, we may have to contend with rain and thunderstorms. A stationary front is stretched across the Show-Me State and that could set off rounds of showers and storms this weekend. The best chance for rain on Saturday will be for the southern and western portions of the viewing area - mainly during the afternoon. Some storms may linger overnight into Sunday. Isolated storms may be possible again Sunday afternoon and evening with then a very slight chance on Monday. Storms will be very hit or miss and severe weather is not expected. Those not seeing the rain for the holiday weekend will get a mix of sun and clouds and nice temperatures. The weekend begins in the 70s with the mid 80s taking over early next week as the stationary front drives north as a warm front.
