Two sentenced for Jefferson City robbery

Two people have been sentenced to prison for a Jefferson City burglary.

Charles Lowery and Kristie Meeks both plead guilty in July in Cole County Court to first degree burglary.

Lowery received a ten year sentence, and Meeks got seven years.

The case stems from a February 8th, 2014 incident. Police were called to the home on Lafayette Street and found four people who said they had been assaulted.

Meeks admitted that she knew the victims and had come over to the home to watch a movie. She then texted Lowery to come into the home. Minutes later, Lowery entered the house and the two began assaulting the victims. They demanded cash but left with nothing.

Online court documents show the Lowery and Meeks were living in Jefferson City at the time of their arrests.
