Two arrested in Fulton narcotics raid

Two people are facing criminal charges after law enforcement raided a home on West 3rd Street and found drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Fulton Police and the MUSTANG Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 107 West 3rd Street around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

During the search, law enforcement found methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested the two occupants of the home, Shawna Lynn Bruns, 31, and Michael William Van Soptick, 23.

Bruns was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and was released on a summons.

Soptick was arrested for distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of an illegal weapon, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Callaway County Jail with a $25,000 bond.

Police say they expect to file more charges and that the investigation is ongoing.
