Two arrested after traffic stop turns up drugs

At about 8:30 p.m. a Boone County deputy stopped Kraig Greene's car at Hogan Drive and St. Charles Road for a license plate violation.

A pair of Columbia residents were arrested Tuesday night after a traffic stop turned up drugs.

At about 8:30 p.m. a Boone County deputy stopped Kraig Greene's car at Hogan Drive and St. Charles Road for a license plate violation.

During the stop, the deputy realized 26-year-old Greene was on parole for drug trafficking.

Authorities used a K9 unit which alerted the deputy to drugs in the car.

During a search, authorities found cocaine, marijuana, suspected ecstasy pills, unknown pills, and digital scales.

Greene and his passenger, 26-year-old Crystal Miller, were both arrested for Distribution of a Controlled Substance.

They were taken to the Boone County Jail.
