Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

Colby Parrish faces multiple charges after police found narcotics in his vehicle.

A Montgomery City man faces multiple charges after police say they found drugs in his possession during a traffic stop early Sunday morning in Fulton.

Fulton Police pulled over 22-year-old Colby Parrish near Jefferson Street and W. 5th Street around 1:47 a.m. for a lane violation.

During the investigation, officers found damage to the front of Parrish's car and determined that he had hit a utility pole.

Inside the car, officers say they found narcotics and paraphernalia.

Parrish was arrested for driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of narcotics with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was taken to Callaway County Jail with a bond of $16,500.
