Three Macon residents plead guilty to bank robberies

Three Mid-Missourians have pleaded guilty to federal charges for a series of bank robberies in Missouri and Texas.

Jeffrey Heckman, Jacob Norris and Alexia Baker are all from Macon.

Heckman pleaded guilty to six counts, including bank robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The 26-year-old admitted to stealing about $33,000 in five different robberies, including the Merchant's and Farmer's Bank in Volumbia last July. He faces 25 years in prison for each robbery.

Norris and Baker each pleaded guilty to one count of aiding and abetting bank robbery, and one count of bank robbery. They admitted to serving as the getaway driver and lookout while Heckman robbed the Columbia bank.

Norris and Baker face up to 45 years in prison.
