Thu, 05 Dec 2013 05:16:43 GMT — Expect cold and dry Thursday morning but by late morning/early afternoon we'll see the first signs of winter weather. I'm expecting areas south of Jefferson City to see a sleet/snow mix, while areas north will see mostly snow. Totals from the first round will be around 1-2".We'll see a slight break in the precipitation overnightThursday into Friday morning before a more moderate band of snow moves in just in time for the Friday morning commute. This band will be heavier along I-44 and areas south, while areas north of Jefferson City will see lighter snow amounts. Snow will come to an end by Friday afternoon. Final snow totals will be between 1-3" for the majority of mid-Missouri.
