The Hellen Cook family met with the Benton County Sheriff Department from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Monday to discuss the continued search of a missing elderly woman.

During this meeting the Kansas City Police were asked to bring another group of search dogs to the campsight in Warsaw to check for any scent trails.

The Benton County Sheriff has agreed to organize a hand-to-hand search if enough volunteers can be provided. The Alzheimerâ??s Association said that Alzheimerâ??s victims will generally curl into the fetal position in small crevices when theyâ??ve become disoriented or confused. They are trying to locate enough volunteers to conduct the field and woods search by Wednesday or Thursday.

A Missouri State Trooper detective will also be meeting with everyone who saw Hellen Cook on her last day and interview each of them again to try and gather more information about Cook's whereabouts.

On Monday the family was in Warsaw checking all vacant buildings and outbuildings in the area where Hellen Cook was last seen.

The family asks that everyone please share her picture and plight. More information may be found on the familyâ??s community facebook page at www.facebook.com/FindHellenCook.

Anyone who may have seen this woman or with information is asked to call Benton County authorities at 660-438-9555.
