Thanks to a citizen's tip, the Ice House Robber is arrested

Moberly Police say thanks to the help of a citizen, an arrest has been made in the Ice House Convenience Store robbery.

Officers arrested thirty-five-year-old Jerry Amos of Moberly Sunday. He was charged with second degree robbery and his bond was set at $20,000.

Amos admitted that he robbed the store to buy synthetic marijuana from another store.

Original story--Saturday, May 24, 2014: Moberly Police are asking for help in finding the man who robbed the Ice House Convenience Store Saturday afternoon.

Officers were called to the business at 300 Rollins Street about 3pm.

The clerk said a man walked in with a note stating he had a gun and that he wanted money. The clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and the man then left.

He is desribed as a white male in his mid thirties, approximately 170 pounds, balding head, and was wearing a dark colored shirt with jeans.

No one was injured in the robbery and no gun was displayed.
