Teen injured in Jefferson City crash

A Jefferson City teen was injured after a bicycle accident Wednesday evening.

Jefferson City police say the 16-year-old was riding north on Southwest Boulevard.

The driver of a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer, Ashton Stockman, tried to make a left from Woodclift onto Southwest.

Stockman did not see the teen and his bike slammed into her car.

The teen was airlifted to Columbia, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The teen was wearing an approved helmet.
