Suspect in Holts Summit church burglary charged

A suspect in the Oct. 13 burglary of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, under construction in Holts Summit, has been charged with four felonies.

According to Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism, 21-year-old Bryson Skinner of California, Mo., was charged with Second-degree Burglary, Felony Stealing, Felony Property Damage, and Felony Receiving Stolen Property.

Several item were stolen from the church, including an HVAC unit and numerous construction tools and equipment. Chism said a number of those items were located in Cole County on Wednesday, and Skinner was subsequently arrested.

At the time of his arrest, Skinner was out on bond in regards to another felony stealing investigation out of western Callaway County.
