Suspect arrested for burglary in Newburg

Wednesday morning a suspect was arrested in connection with a burglary that happened Sunday night.
Police responded to the 800 Block of Walnut in Newburg, Missouri on Sunday around 10:00 p.m. for a reported burglary.
An on-scene investigation came to show many household items and antiques had been taken from the home without the owner's permission.
The victim provided deputies with video surveillance showing a vehicle and license plate.
After a search of the area, police did not locate the suspect vehicle.
On Wednesday the victim saw the suspect vehicle in the 500 Block of Eisenhower in Doolittle, Missouri.
Deputies then contacted residents from the address and received information about the location of the driver of the suspect vehicle.
Police responded to the 100 Block of Second Street in Newburg, Missouri where they saw some of the reported stolen property in plain view.
Heather L. Shaw was arrested and taken to Phelps County Jail for second degree burglary.
