Summer roadwork will continue to slow traffic

MoDot will remain busy with construction in mid-Missouri for the next few weeks, with many projects expected to slow traffic on busy highways.
Highway 63 around Ashland will get a lot of attention this week, with projects on the Route M and Y overpass in Ashland, the removal of median crossovers at Liberty and Peterson lanes, and resurfacing in the north and southbound lanes between Columbia and Jefferson City resulting in occasional lane closures throughout the week.
The widening of Stadium Boulevard in Columbia from I-70 south will continue this week, with resurfacing projects expected to cause lane closures.
Construction will continue on the southbound on-ramp from Broadway to Highway 63 in Columbia. Motorists who need to access southbound 63 from Broadway are advised to detour north to Vandiver Drive, cross over the highway, and access the southbound lanes from there.
The Broadway on-ramp is scheduled to re-open Thursday at 6:00 a.m.
