Striping to begin on Mid-Missouri major roadways

Road crews will be out re-striping major highways in Mid-Missouri.

Starting March 31st, Missouri Department of Transportation trucks will be out striping major Mid-Missouri roadways.

Crews will work ten hours a day, Monday through Saturday for the next few months.

MoDOT asks that you be aware of the slow-moving trucks. All trucks will be clearly marked with flashing lights and "Wet Paint" signs. They also ask that you stay behind the last truck in the line. That will give the paint time to dry and keep wheels from smudging the new paint.

It also will prevent the paint from getting on your car. A spokesman for MoDOT says that if you do get paint on your vehicle, clean your car as soon as possible with a high-powered water hose, like the ones used in car washes.
