Strip club owner charged with illegal weapons possession

A Sunrise Beach strip club owner is being charged in federal court for illegal possession of firearms.

Jimmy Duane Davis, 55, is the owner of the Eclipse Gentleman's club in Sunrise Beach. Davis has a prior felony conviction for the sale of marijuana, the sale of methamphetamine and the trafficking of methamphetamine.

An affidavit in support of the federal criminal complaint alleges that Davis kept numerous firearms in a gun safe in the basement of his residence, located next to his business.

On August 19, federal agents executed a search warrant at Davis' residence and seized the contents of his gun safe. The safe contained 17 rifles, seven shotguns, and six handguns. Another handgun was also on top of the safe, as well as ammunition in the basement and upstairs bedroom.

His prior felony makes it illegal for him to be in possession of any firearm or ammunition.
