Fri, 29 Aug 2014 11:16:47 GMT — After 10 straight days in the 90s and heat indices in the triple digits, Mid-Missouri is in store for cooler temperatures. It comes at a cost, though. Rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible throughout the holiday weekend. The first bout of rain heads our way Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. Look for scattered showers and thunderstorms as a weak cold front moves into the area. That front will stall on Saturday, which could bring spotty storm chances until the evening hours. Most of the area could be dry by the afternoon. The next round of rain arrives Monday thanks to another weak cold front. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible through the day. That front will also stall, dragging rain chances into Tuesday. At this time, severe weather is not excepted for either rain event.Follow the KRCG 13 StormVision Weather Team for the latest updates. www.connectmidmissouri.com/weather
