The Jefferson City Fire Department is investigating a fire at St. Mary's Health Center.
It happened at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday on the third floor which is a cardiac step-down unit.
Little is known about the fire but authorities said was in a supply room and was put out by staff with an extinguisher.
Interim Jefferson City Fire Chief Jason Turner said they do not believe any patients or staff were at risk at any time.
Patients in rooms near the supply room were relocated to different rooms as a precaution.
The hospital is running as normal, and is accepting new patients.
