Wed, 05 Feb 2014 13:28:08 GMT — The strong winter storm that rolled through Mid-Missouri on Tuesday and Tuesday night will finally come to an end Wednesday morning. Light snow will be possible through sunrise or so, with occasional flurries after that. Final accumulations fell right into the 2-8" range across the entire viewing area. Our Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories have been extended until noon on Wednesday, but not because of falling snow. As high pressure moves in from the north, winds will be gusty through the first half of the day causing blowing and drifting snow. Temperatures will be stuck in the teens all day with dangerous wind chills arriving overnight. Winds will be light Thursday morning, but the fresh snow combined with frigid, Arctic air will bring wind chills between 10-15 below zero. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for Thursday and Friday.Follow the KRCG 13 StormVision Weather Team for the latest updates on winter weather in Mid-Missouri.
