Fri, 31 Jan 2014 13:04:34 GMT — Wintry weather is making a return to Mid-Missouri on Friday. With cloudy skies and temperatures in the 20s and 30s, light snow will be possible during the morning hours - mainly for the northern half of the viewing area. As we head into the afternoon hours, a disturbance will ride along a stalled cold front producing sporadic light snow as well as rain, sleet and some isolated freezing rain. Any snow accumulations will be minor today, around half an inch for the northern half of the area.Snow as well as ice will start to accumulate slowly after midnight through Saturday afternoon. With warmer air moving in from the south, ice looks to be the biggest risk from this storm system. Ice accumulations will be highest between Jefferson City and Columbia with .1-.25" possible.Follow the KRCG 13 StormVision Weather Team for the latest updates on winter weather in Mid-Missouri.
