Six dead after day of shootings in St. Louis

Six people are dead in St. Louis after one of the most violent days of the year.

Police say it is unclear if any of the shootings are related.

It began Thursday afternoon when two men wearing ski masks targeted a car on the city's north side. Instead, they hit innocent bystanders, killing a man in his 50s.

A man's body was found in a burning car around 6:30 p.m. Later, a 42-year-old woman was killed while driving along Interstate 70 when another car pulled up and someone began shooting.

The body of a young man was found around 9:30 p.m. in a vacant lot. He had been shot.

At about 8 a.m. Friday, officers found two people dead from gunshot wounds. Police say it appeared the victims were running when they were killed.
