Human remains that were found near a pond in west-central Missouri have been positively identified as those of a woman missing since mid-July.
Benton County Sheriff Rick Fajen confirmed on Wednesday that foul play is not suspected in the death of 72-year-old Hellen Cook, who had Alzheimer's disease.
The remains were found over the weekend in Benton County, and the sheriff says the identification was confirmed through dental records.
Cook was from the Jackson County town of Buckner. She wandered away from her family's vacation property in Warsaw on July 13, setting off a massive search by friends and volunteers.
